Falcon Family,
I hope you and your family had a wonderful Thanksgiving. It was great to enjoy the warmer weather even if it wasn’t our normal family celebration. Thank you to all the families who have taken time to participate in Parent Teachers Conferences. The next two and a half weeks will be busy as we focus on instruction prior to the winter break. Please remember to review your student’s progress in Canvas this weekend. 2nd Quarter tends to be a faster than the others because of the breaks. Parents, as always, thank you for your continued efforts in encouraging, monitoring, and celebrating the hard work your children show each day! We cannot do this without your partnership.
Thanks for Your Support,
Lynnette Moore
Principal
It has been very exciting to read, watch, listen to, and experience all of the beautiful Reflections Contest submissions over the course of the last few weeks. All of the judging has been completed and we are happy to announce the following 1st Place Winners:

In addition, the Reflections Committee would like to recognize the following artists who will also see their submissions, awarded 2nd and 3rd place at MVMS, be passed on to the county-wide competition!
Congratulations to our winners and thank you to everyone who participated in the 2020 Reflections Arts Contest!
New inclement weather protocols were shared with staff and the community for the 2020-2021 school year while in virtual, small groups or hybrid instructional models. More information about the four possible inclement weather decisions are provided on the HCPSS website.
As we continue to rely on technology, it is critical that each of us does our part to ensure that technology is used safely. Threats to our online safety and the health of our technology are present every time we click a link, open an email or visit a website. HCPSS has provided helpful guidelines on our website that you are encouraged to review, follow and share.
The Hour of Code is a global movement reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries. The goal is for students to try an Hour of Code during December 7-13, in celebration of Computer Science Education Week. Introduction to computer science allows all students to learn the basics and broaden participation in the field of computer science. This year participation in Hour of Code is voluntary. Students can complete coding activities located in the Canvas Hour of Code module, and attempt to solve the Hour of Code Escape Room Puzzle.
At Mount View, students also have the opportunity to participate in Engineering and Technology Education as well as a second semester GT Coding Seminar.
There are many other activities online to support our enthusiastic coders:
