Online School Purchases

The HCPSS Online School Payment (OSP) website is where parents are able to pay for student school activities and fees by debit or credit card online using a secure web browser at their convenience, 24 hours a day. Please note that OSMS, Inc. charges a 4% handling fee for online purchases.
A step-by-step guide for purchasing school activities using OSP. Please note that while the school shown in the guide is not a HCPSS school, the process is the same.

Forms

The preferred way to inform the school of an absence is to send an email to mvmsabsence@hcpss.org. Please include the student name, grade level, date of absence and reason for absence.
This form may be downloaded and used for an absence, tardiness, or early dismissal. Students are required to present a completed Admission Note upon return from an absence.
For absences of up to 3 days per year, the principal may determine whether the absences will be lawful/excused or unlawful/unexcused. This completed form should be emailed in advance to mvmsabsence@hcpss.org.
This form must be completed for consideration of a lawful (excused) absence from school under policy 3000, Religious Observances
Students may not ride another bus unless it is an emergency. Written parent request is required along with approval from school administration.
Parents/Guardians may request long term permission for their child to ride two different buses for daycare and medical emergencies only. Completed form is submitted to the Pupil Transportation Office.
Howard County public schools provide instruction on HIV/AIDS in Health Education in grades six through nine.
The Maryland State Board of Education requires that each school system provide instruction about the Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS) “at least once in grades three to six, six to nine, and nine to twelve” (COMAR 13A.04.18).
Instruction addressing HIV/AIDS is taught as part of the formal Health Education curriculum in grade 6, 8, and 9. Parents may exclude their child from instruction in HIV/AIDS prevention in Health Education by completing an HIV/AIDS Exclusion Form.
