Hello Falcon Families,
You may begin scheduling a conference with your child's teachers today. Information and steps for scheduling are provided here. Also, 1st quarter report cards can be viewed on Monday, November 16th, see below for institutions. Please make sure your Family File is updated to ensure you have access to the report card.
Next week we are celebrating American Education Week from November 16–20, 2020. Every year we look forward to honoring public education and the many individuals who make a difference in ensuring that every student receives a quality education. American Education Week is a wonderful opportunity to encourage our collaboration and partnership with families. Unfortunately, during this time of virtual learning we will not be able to hold all of our traditional American Education Week visitation opportunities. Instead, teachers have planned parent engagement activities throughout the week. So, do not be surprised if our Falcon asks what you think is a “random” history, science, cooking tip, math fact, or well-being strategy!
Please join us for Coffee and Conversation with Administration and Student Services on Wednesday morning and MVMS PTA meeting in the evening. (Details below.)
During this incredibly unusual and often stressful school year, it is even more important that we celebrate the team of people at our school, including our teachers, support staff, food and nutrition employees and so many more. Please consider sending an email of appreciation to our staff.
Thanks for Your Support,
Lynnette Moore
Principal
How can I access my child’s MAP test results?

Note: Students in Algebra I/II or Geometry, and English 8 G/T do not participate in MAP testing and will not have a report displayed. If your child did not participate in the October administration, a report may still appear based on the previous administration.
Additional information on MAP testing and how to interpret the report can be found online.
Mount View Falcons have used this time to show how much they care about others and support their community. This year, we know that many families around our community could use some extra support. Mount View Middle School, in partnership with the MVMS PTA, will be running a program to help support our families as well as some from another HCPSS school. The program, #MVMSCares, will allow MVMS families to sign up to donate an item or gift card. These donations will help to fulfill wish lists for families.
We are so proud of all of the generosity of our falcons and look forward to sharing that again this year.
Please place gifts with labels at MVMS's vestibule during the week of December 7-11 between 9am to 3pm.
