June 21, 2022

Dear Falcon Families,

It is hard to believe summer break is here; I am excited and a little sad. Entering our beautiful building without the sound of children's laughter and conversation makes for a lonely summer but it is a time for reflection and building for the 2022-23 school year. Thank you for sharing and trusting your precious Falcons with us this year. We know this year was filled with many adjustments.  Our staff worked hard to transition students back into the building by first focusing on building strong relationships and developing your child’s social/emotional skills. We thank you for your collaboration and partnership with us, and we wish you an enjoyable and relaxing summer!

Ms. Moore, Principal

  • Ms. Elaine Mezeivtch, Grade 6 Science teacher
  • Mr. Steven Lewis, Grade 6 Social Studies teacher
  • Ms. Andrea Herschman, Student Assistant

Summer Chromebook Information

  • All students will take their Chromebooks home this summer.8th graders will take their assigned Chromebook to high school next year.
  • Students not returning to HCPSS should return their Chromebook. Students transferring to a different HCPSS school next year will bring their Chromebooks with them to the new school.
  • Please be sure to charge the Chromebook over the summer.  Chromebooks that are not charged for an extended period risk having permanent battery issues.

School Messaging to Families

All parents/guardians are in our system to receive HCPSS and school emails/text messages. HCPSS systems will update in early August, at which point parents will automatically receive communication from their child’s 2022-2023 school. Prior to that rollover, you will continue to receive communication from your child’s 2021-2022 school. Please do not attempt to create a new account with your child’s 2022-2023 school. Additionally, unsubscribing from any HCPSS or school messages will block you from receiving all messages from the district and your child’s school. Please do not unsubscribe!

Indicators of Educational Equity Survey

As part of our school improvement process, we are asking families to provide input about their equity priorities for our school. Please use the link below to complete the Indicators of Educational Equity Survey. We will use your input and other school data to refine our school improvement plan for the next school year. The survey is anonymous and available in multiple languages. If you have children at more than one school, please complete one survey per school.
