Live Music is Back!MVMS Winter Concerts are coming up soon! All concerts will be held at MRHS.
Your child’s music teacher will be sending out information regarding the concerts and we hope you will be able to attend. In accordance with HCPSS policy, masks are required for everyone while inside MRHS. In addition, please do not congregate in the lobby, restrooms, or hallways, and in order to allow for proper distancing, each ensemble will perform at a separate time and we are asking that all families leave the building at the conclusion of their child’s performance. We also require that all non-performing students be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times while attending any of the concerts. Intramural Volleyball Coming in FebruaryMS. Burrows, our FACS teacher, will provide an opportunity for students to learn/play volleyball. No experience is necessary. Please pick up a permission slip from the front office. This activity will run from January 31 to February 17. Outdoor Lunch OptionMany families have asked whether outdoor seating will remain an option for students who wish to eat lunch outside during the colder months. Outdoor lunch will continue to be an option for any student who wishes to do so, as the weather allows. Please note that the decision to allow for outdoor lunch is at the discretion of each school administrator while considering the following criteria:
If your child plans to eat outside, please encourage them to dress appropriately for the temperatures, including wearing a coat, hat, and/or gloves each day. The opportunity for outdoor eating has been one of several effective COVID-19 mitigation strategies we have employed to keep our school community healthy and safe. Please visit the HCPSS website regarding health and safety measures, including what is being done to ensure indoor dining safety (Links to an external site.). In addition, parents/guardians are to perform a COVID-19 health check every day before the student leaves home. Parents/guardians should keep their children home if they are experiencing symptom(s) associated with any communicable disease, including COVID-19. Dressing for Cooler WeatherWe are having a beautiful fall and now the temperatures are getting cooler. Please be sure your child is dressed warm enough for outdoor recess and outdoor lunch if they eat outside. Please be sure you label your child's jackets and sweatshirts. We already have many items in the lost and found. Lost and Found ItemsWe have a lot of WATER BOTTLES, LUNCH BOXES, and CLOTHING ITEMS in the lost and found bins. We have an Apple Watch and Air Pods (one full set, one single) in the front office. Please have your Falcon look for and grab any items they are missing.
