Impact Aid Forms

Parents/guardians who work on federal property in Maryland and/or are a member of a uniformed service can qualify to receive additional federal funding by completing an Impact Aid form by Dec. 31. Impact Aid supplements the HCPSS operating budget to enhance the teaching and learning that takes place in Howard County classrooms.

Community Academy

The Council of Elders of the Black Community in Howard County (TCOE) in collaboration with the Howard County Public School System will host a TCOE Community Academy on Social Emotional Well-Being on December 11 from 9-10:30 a.m. The session will identify behaviors that affect a child’s social-emotional well-being and strategies to openly discuss suicide prevention and mental health awareness. MVMS Carson Scholar Nominee 
Congratulations to Annie Yuan, Grade 8 the MVMS Carson Scholar Nominee! Annie will now move onto the next phase of the application process with the support of her teachers, School Counselor, and parents to become the 2021/22 Carson Scholar.  
 
All-State Ensemble Results 
Congratulations to the students who were selected for this year's All-State ensembles: Junior Chorus, Junior Orchestra, and Junior Band.
The students selected this year were Veronica Romero (chorus), Hansi Reddicherla (chorus), Addison Cox (chorus), Kavya Seralathan (chorus), Chris Chung (orchestra), Chloe Chung (orchestra), Caleb Choi (orchestra), Adeline Liu (orchestra), Cindy Yu (orchestra), Esther Kim (band), and Noelle Chun (band)!

MVMS PTA Meeting

Please join us for our monthly PTA meeting Wednesday, December 15 @ 6:00 pm. The meeting will be virtual.

Lost and Found Items

We have a lot of WATER BOTTLES, LUNCH BOXES, and CLOTHING ITEMS in the lost and found bins. We have an Apple Watch and Air Pods (one full set, one single) in the front office. Please have your Falcon look for and grab any items they are missing. We will use the stage in the cafeteria on Thursday, December 9  to display any missing items as a "last call" before we donate clothing items on Friday, December 10.
