This information is for current 6th and 7th-grade students.

Earlier this month, you should have received a letter (on green paper) from the school related to the exciting fine arts options that your child will be participating in the next school year. The letter detailed several curricular options to consider and the online registration is now opened. The scheduling window closes this Friday, February 21st. 

This process must be completed on a computer and through the parent account. The process will not work if you are trying to access it from your Phone/Tablet/Ipad.

Middle school course recommendations for the 2020-2021 school year are now available to view in HCPSS Connect. Please review the course recommendations made by your child’s math, science, social studies, and english teachers and discuss them with your child. Additionally, you and your child should request a year-long fine arts course and additional coursework in HCPSS Connect.

• To begin the course request process, log in to HCPSS Connect with your parent account 
• Select Course Request from the left navigation bar.
• After reviewing the options, select a year-long fine arts course (Band/ Chorus/ Orchestra/ Music/Art) and additional coursework (Project Lead the Way/ World Language/ Inquiry & Innovations). Course descriptions can be found in the 2020-21 Middle School Course Catalog.

If you would like your child to take a course other than what has been recommended, complete the Course Placement Review form designated for your child’s rising grade:

• Rising 7th Grade CPR form
• Rising 8th Grade CPR form

Return the form to your child’s school no later than Friday, March 6th.
