The spelling bee will take place on Friday, January 19, 2018.(Inclement weather date Monday, January 22, 2018) The Spelling Bee will take place in the Media Center during school hours beginning at 8:00 A.M. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend.

Parents/Participants:  The undersigned parent or guardian and participant agrees to, certifies, and acknowledges the following:

• The Winner of the Mount View Middle School Spelling Bee will go on to participate in the County wide Spelling Bee on March 16, 2018.
• The Spelling Bee will be conducted in an oral format.
• The Spelling Bee Rules have been posted on the MVMS website, and it is the responsibility of the participant and the participant’s guardians to review the rules.  By signing below, you are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and will adhere to the Spelling Bee Rules.
• All requests for Spelling Bee officials to accommodate special needs involving sight, hearing, speech or movement should be directed to Spelling Bee officials by Monday, January 8, 2018.
• Practice spelling word lists can be found on the MVMS website and in the Media Center
• Permission slips are due to your English teacher by Friday, January 12th. 
• Questions concerning the Spelling Bee should be directed to Megan Remmel at megan_remmel@hcpss.org.
