Mount View’s Green School Partner, The Oyster Recovery Partnership (ORP), is hosting an oyster trivia and fundraising night at the Gary J. Arthur Community Center in Glenwood (near Western Regional Park) on March 4 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm.We heartily invite you to attend the event and learn more about oysters and the work of ORP, including how they help our school’s oyster gardening program! Tickets are $22 and include appetizers, prizes, giveaways, and a seat at the trivia game. Freshly shucked oysters will be available for $1 each, and the event is BYOB. You can learn more about the event and purchase tickets at: www.oysterrecovery.org/funraiser
AND…this event is not just for MVMS. It is open to anyone over the age of 21, so please feel free to invite neighbors and friends to join you! Creating a trivia team of 4-6 people is ideal, but not necessary in order to play.
SO…. Get out of the house for a couple of hours, learn about oysters, help raise funds for ORP’s efforts to restore the oysters of the Cheapeake Bay, and support an organization that supports our school!
And if you have questions about Mount View’s Oyster Gardening Program, please contact Mrs. Mako.
