MVMS students will begin taking the PARCC Assessments in English/Language Arts (ELA) and Math.  The assessment is designed to measure college and career readiness.  We are all so proud of our students and their hard work this year, and are excited for them to show it on the PARCC assessments! Here is the schedule:

6th & 7th ELA - May 1, 2, 3
6th & 7th Math - May 9, 10, 11
8th Grade ELA - May 7, 8
8th Grade Math - May 14, 15

Some helpful reminders:
-Please make sure students are on time to school so that they are ready for testing.
-Please dress comfortably and in layers due to the changing temperatures this season.
-Make sure to get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.
-Students may bring their own earbuds/headphones to use on the ELA assessment.
-Cell phones are not permitted in the testing rooms.
-Smart watches are not permitted in the testing rooms.
-Students will be allowed to read a book (non-electronic) once they finish their assessments.  Please make sure to bring a book with you to each testing session.
-Make up testing will be on a rolling basis starting on May 4.
