2017 Reading Events at MOUNT VIEW

Bowie Baysox—(March 7—April 7 )

• Student participants sign the poster in their ELA or II teacher’s classroom and check off boxes as they read books.  
• Read 4 books by April 7th.  
• Names of participants will be submitted to Mrs. DeMoss to receive one free game ticket per participating student.  
• Students will receive a ticket to attend the game and fireworks on Saturday, May 20th @ 6:35.

Frederick Keys—(March 20-- April 20)

• Student participants keep track of books read on the designated orange bookmark.
• The bookmark must be signed by a parent.Read 3 books by April 21st.
• The bookmark serves as the ticket voucher to attend the game on Saturday, Apr. 22 @ 1:30 PM

Reading Day—(April 2)

• Young Authors' Contest winners from the county will read their short stories and poems.
• A percentage of proceeds from books purchased that day is donated to the "Books for Babies" program.
• Show your support from 11:30-2:30 at Barnes & Noble in the Long Gate Shopping Center.
