Time to Check the Lost and Found!

At Mount View, we have four Lost and Found bins throughout the building, as well as on the Cafeteria stage. We will clean out these bins at the end of every month. Please emphasize to your student that it is their responsibility to keep track of their belongings, and to check the Lost and Found if they are missing something.

G/T Seminars

ALL Students Are Invited To Participate In Mount View's G/T Seminars!

  • Digital Media
  • Debate
  • Falcon And Quill:  Book Club
  • Falcon And Quill:  Writers Club
  • Environmental Studies
  • Oyster Gardening
  • Photography
  • SGA LeadershipResearch Investigation

Any interested student is invited and encouraged to submit an interest form and participate in a GT seminar. Seminars are designed to provide enrichment opportunities for students to pursue their passions and extend their learning in areas of interest. A student does not need to be enrolled in a G/T content class in order to participate in a G/T instructional seminar at MVMS!

Seminars meet once a week (or less) during regularly scheduled classes on a rotating basis so that students only miss each subject once or twice during the marking quarter.  Students may join up to two G/T seminars per marking quarter.   Students who are in the Band or Orchestra program should consider joining just one G/T seminar so that they don't overload their schedule.

More information about the seminars, along with the link to sign up, are available on the GT website.

MCAP Testing

During the 2020-2021 school year, students were unable to engage in the state-mandated assessment MCAP.  As a result, students will engage in MCAP in both the fall and the spring of the 2021-2022 school year.  The Fall MCAP assessment will assess skills that students learned during the 2020-2021 school year, and will provide teachers with data to better understand student progress towards proficiency on the Maryland College and Career Ready Standards.

To help support students and the assessment process we ask that parents help ensure that their Falcon has the updated operating system for the HCPSS issued Chromebook using the information below.
